Feather River Fine Arts Association focuses on promoting art in the community through a number of activities.
We offer a scholarship for high school students in Greenville, Chester, and Westwood, to help with college expenses. We also provide assistance for local residents who wish to attend private art classes or art classes at local colleges.
Art provided by our members can be seen in a variety of public places around the community, including Seneca Hospital, the Chester Library, the office of the Lake Almanor Chamber of Commerce, Plumas Bank and U.S. Bank, and the offices of Dr. Fred Feil, the Chester Progressive, and Dr. Brent Webb. In addition, art by FRFAA members can be seen at a number of galleries and shops around Plumas and Lassen Counties.
Individual members have donated art and art classes for a variety of fundraising events by other groups, including Art Around the Lake, Ducks Unlimited, Relay for Life, Art from the Heart, the Lassen Park Foundation, and California Waterfowl. FRFAA is one of the sponsors of the Plumas Arts Calendar, and many of our members have contributed art and poetry to the calendar. Members help with the Art Barn at the Plumas Sierra County Fair.
